Gibe II is the second stage of the Gibe-Omo hydroelectric cascade which includes upstream Gilgel Gibe HPP, in operation, and downstream Gibe III (under completion), Gibe IV and Gibe V (both planned).

- Power Tunnels (L = 26 km, D = 6 m)
- No. 2 Penstocks (L = 1.2 km, D = 2.4 m)
- Surge Shaft (H = 94.5 m, D = 18 m)
- Outdoor Power House (No. 4 Pelton turbines IP = 4x105 MW).
