Gibe III Inauguration - Ethiopia
Gibe III HPP’s inauguration ceremony took place on December, 17th 2016. The RCC dam (H = 250 m) is the world’s highest of its kind, and its 1’870 MW installed power substantially increases the electricity generation capacity of both Ethiopia and the African continent.
SP has conceived the project and has been responsible for all the engineering through the design and construction process. We are very proud of this achievement!
