In more than 50 years of career, Studio Pietrangeli (SP) has become a leading consultancy firm in the water resources and renewable energy sectors, designing projects for hydroelectric power production, water supply and irrigation. SP’s portfolio consists in over 200 dam projects of all kinds and sizes, over 30’000 MW hydropower projects, and over 6500 km of transmission lines, in more than 35 countries. Today several of our projects are world records, such as Gibe III dam project, the world’s highest RCC dam (H = 250 m), and Grand Ethiopian Renaissance dam project on the Blue Nile, Africa’s largest hydropower plant.
