HV Transmission
Lines
This is a feasibility study and detailed design of high voltage transmission lines and substations for rural electrification in Tanzania financed by the European Development Fund (EDF).
Studio Pietrangeli is proud of being an active firm involved in this topic with the objective to provide sustainable access to electricity through construction of electricity infrastructures for rural electrification, in order to increase social and economic development of the populations in beneficiary areas.
The study is deemed to be essential in the framework of the rural electrification programs, but also providing options analysis for decentralized electrifications solutions.
The components of the project are: 220 kV and 132 kV transmission lines and 220-132-33 kV substations in Tanzania mainland.
Studio Pietrangeli (Italy) is contracted to carry out engineering studies and to ensure the capitalisation and sharing of knowledge related to the implementation of the project, through a dedicated capacity building targeting TANESCO and REA relevant staff, financed by the European Union.
