Trojena is an integral component of NEOM’s regional development plan, strategically situated 50 kilometers from the Gulf of Aqaba coast in the heart of the region.

Trojena is envisioned to be an iconic, world-class destination, integrating natural and developed landscapes, and offering unique human-centric experiences for residents and visitors alike.

The development will encompass a ski village, a variety of dining establishments and retail stores, ultra-luxury family and health resorts, and sports activities such as mountain biking, ski slopes, water sports, and an interactive nature reserve. The all-year-round average temperature will be 10 °C (18 °F) below neighboring regions, and will drop below zero during winter.

The project entails the construction of three dams, resulting in the formation of a 2.8-kilometer-long freshwater lake at Trojena and the development of “The Bow,” an architectural feat featuring a hotel suspended above the mountain’s valley below.
The artificial lake will feature an island designated for botanical exploration and leisurely walks.

Trojena and the region are components of the Saudi Vision 2030 program, a comprehensive economic diversification initiative within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The 2029 Asian Winter Games are scheduled to be hosted by this region.
