Studio Pietrangeli has been awarded a new consultancy assignment in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia, our first project in the country.
The consultancy is part of the Clean Energy Project and focuses on hydropower development along the Lehnmesi River in Pohnpei, aiming to increase renewable energy production and reduce the use of fossil fuels.
Our services include the preparation of a complete feasibility study for the Lehnmesi hydropower Project, as well as bidding documents and support throughout the procurement process.
As part of the initial activities, our team travelled to Pohnpei to meet the FSM Department of Resources and Development and relevant stakeholders. The team then presented the preliminary results and visited the sites identified for the different project alternatives. Our experts carried out geological, geomechanical and topographical surveys to support site characterization and the assessment of the proposed solutions.
We are proud to bring our hydropower expertise to Micronesia and contribute to a more sustainable future for the FSM.
