Studio Pietrangeli in India for the Zungki and Lower Tizu Hydropower Projects

Studio Pietrangeli, in association with DMR Hydroengineering & Infrastructures Ltd., has started activities in Nagaland, India, following the recent award of the consultancy assignment for the 24 MW Zungki and 42 MW Lower Tizu Hydropower Projects.

The assignment focuses on the due diligence and update of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), including a comprehensive review of the technical, economic, financial, institutional and implementation aspects of the project.

As part of the initial project activities, Studio Pietrangeli and DMR team recently carried out their first site mission in Nagaland. The mission included multidisciplinary coordination with the client, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the specialists involved in the environmental and social impact studies.

The team then travelled to the Kiphire area, where the proposed dam sites are located, to collect key field information related to topography, geology, site accessibility, available construction areas and potential alternative dam locations.

Studio Pietrangeli and DMR are pleased to bring their expertise to this important assignment and look forward to working closely with ADB, local institutions and project stakeholders throughout the next stages of the project.
